We are delighted to welcome you to the Homes2Rent platform. We wanted to make this process as simple as possible in order that we can help you find your new home. You may have questions and we intend to answer them for you.
What is Homes2Rent?
Homes2Rent is a new portal where the tenant and landlord come together without the need for a letting agent to get involved.
You will be able to search for properties, and book viewings. Once you have moved in you can also use the platform to keep an eye on your tenancy.
There will be the ability to message your landlord, track your rental payments and sign/store your tenancy agreements.
How do I register?
There are several ways that this could happen.
- Your landlord may add you to the portal and you will receive a welcome email to register your details.
- You can access the Homes2Rent website and register
- Your housemates may invite you
Once you have registered make sure you fill in your tenant profile, located in your account settings.
This is at the top right-hand side of the screen.
By filling this in any landlord on the platform will be able to see all your information.
It will make the decision-making process easier and mean that if you are interested in a particular property potentially the letting process could be a lot quicker and easier.
Once you have registered with us so we know who you are, you can then contact our Support Agents who can help you by providing some basic information on the property. If you have any specific questions or want to book a viewing, we may need to put you in-touch directly with the landlord.
What is a tenant's profile?
This will be accessible to any landlord you may be working with to secure your property. If completed it should allow any landlord to see your information and allow them to pre-qualify in advance of any viewing/application
Your profile will hold your name, email, and contact details.
A landlord will be able to view your current information and access your profile information by simply clicking on the profile icon immediately to the left of your name.
It shows your information at a quick glance and allows both of you the ability to view and send messages directly to each other.
What can you find in a tenant profile?
-
Personal information, name, contact details, and location
-
Search preferences
-
Employment information
-
Guarantor information and signed agreement
-
Previous tenancy information
-
Photo of the tenant (this is optional)
The more you complete the easier it will be for the landlord to make an informed decision.
Do I need to pay a membership fee?
There will be no requirement to pay any fees to join the platform.
